The current Mini2440 Bootloader is Superboot2440, which can run or install an OS from an SD card without needing a PC. It does not handle all situations we are used to with Supervivi and DNW. Now it is a simple to convert your Mini2440 back to Supervivi. Simply format an SD card to FAT32 on a PC. Unzip and transfer these files to the SD card. Make sure they are in a directory called "images". Lock the SD so the contents are safe. You can use a small SD. These files are tiny.
Set the Mini to NOR mode and insert the SD. Power on. There are no sound signals but if you have serial attached - after all, you probably intend to use DNW - you will see some progress text and a note to reboot when it is finsished.
Remove the SD, set to NAND and reset or power cycle. Done - Use DNW to install your images.
Do your downloads to Mini2440 or Mini6410 without DNW. Check out a Linux (and Win7) tool by Mobyfad
Where can you download the DVDs? The friendlyarm.net Downloads page has docs and tools and other code. At the bottom you will find the user name and password for the ftp server. The server has the ISO's for the DVDs.
The Part of the Manual You Really Need
Mini2440 Essentials. The last section on driver source locations and devices should be useful. Use these pinouts in conjunction with the S3C2440 data sheet. The FAQ page has downloads for using JTAG and the boot loader. To convert back from SuperViVi to Superboot use JTAG to reprogram the NOR chip with the Superboot loader.
